The tractor, Otis is such a sweet character. I sincerely cry when I read this book because he is so precious. It feels like the message of kindness and selflessness in our world has never been more important. So spending a week on this book is worth every second!

Loren Long has putt puff puttedy chuffed his way all over the bestseller is the author of Otis, Otis and the Tornado, Otis and the Puppy, An Otis Christmas, Otis and the Scarecrow, Little Tree, Drummer Boy, Toy Boat by Randall de Sève, and Mr. Peabody’s Apples by was also honored to have the opportunity to modernize the classic The Little Engine That Could by Watty Brand: Penguin Young Readers Group.   Readers of classic children's books will find traces of Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, Little Toot and The Story of Ferdinand in this story of "a friendly little tractor." Otis the tractor loves to work as much as he loves to play. When he snores in the barn, his "soft putt puff puttedy chuff" consoles a motherless calf/5(11).

He and his framer take care of the fields all Where is Otis? book. At the end of the day Otis goes out and plays near the mud pond, jumps over bales of hay, and sits under the apple tree watching his farm/5. Teen runaway, supermodel, and actress Carré Otis found herself in the public eye from a very tender age.

By the time she was twenty, millions of people had already gazed at provocative images of her in magazine and billboard ads from Guess and Calvin Klein, on the pages of Playboy and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and on posters for the controversial film Wild Orchid, with her soon /5(97).

Otis and the Scarecrow is the fifth hardcover picture book about Otis the tractor. This particular Otis story (Otis and the Scarecrow) speaks to the simple ability of a person (or in this case a tractor) to step outside of themselves enough to think about the emotions of someone else.

BOOK OVERVIEW: This is the story of a little pig who doesn't like to be dirty. He has no one to play with since all the other pigs like to get dirty. Just before this story comes to a sad close, Otis meets someone else who doesn't like to get dirty/5.

Beauty, Disrupted was a better read than expected. Although Otis has really only modeled, married a dysfunctional star and overcome addiction and eating disorders, which are definitely accomplishments, she's more of a supporting player on the stage of life.

Her story, however, is compelling and ultimately an encouraging turnaround/5. The Otis Ring By Andy Johnson. Unnerved by sobriety and crushed by the loss of family life, a Louisiana lawyer staggers forward in solitude, unable to take the edge off.

By turns funny and bittersweet, The Otis Ring is a wry take on failure, despair, perseverance, and acceptance. Welcome to the Michigan Department of Corrections’ searchable database, which we call the Offender Tracking and Information System (OTIS).

All of the records contained in OTIS are for prisoners and parolees who are CURRENTLY under the jurisdiction of the MDOC, as well as those serving a prison sentence but who are out on writ.

OTIS is the story of a boisterous and dependable little red tractor who (as was Mary Anne the steam shovel), is facing being replaced, and the young calf (visually reminiscent of the young Ferdinand) who comes to live at the farm and is comforted at night by the /5().

Otis is a very busy tractor. He loves working on the farm and playing with his friends. But at the end of a long day, Otis is happy to go home and rest. And he loves the little calf in the next stall, whom he purrs to sleep with his soft motor. Otis will feel like an old familiar storybook to parents.

What makes OTIS extra-special is that on top of there being such a great interplay of text and illustration, on top of Loren Long's great use of figurative language and visual allusion, and on top of the important intergenerational theme, there is a high level of action and hijinx in the text and illustrations -- call it a "gross motor" book /5().
